Behavior Based Quality Initiatives
By including personnel from all areas of the cargo operations and allowing their insight to be shared promotes buy-in and further participation. At the QQC we use the data collected from standardized assessments to provide fact based observations to determine areas where improvement is possible.
Areas of concentration
Every operation is broken down into 5 categories. Observations are recorded by QQC members regarding the vessel, terminal, lashers, drivers, and stevedores.
Vessel
Aboard the ship the environment and equipment all contribute to quality operations.
Terminal
Communication before and during operations are keys to quality operations in the terminal.
Lashers
The ladies and gentlemen who handle the lashings have a tough job that directly impacts the quality of operations
